Every specification a mouse carries — the tracking, the acceleration, the weight someone spent years removing — is finally spent on a few square centimetres of material. If that material is inconsistent, none of it survives the trip. The surface is not an accessory to the mouse. It is the other half of it.
This is the part of a setup that is chosen last, replaced never, and blamed for nothing.

GLIDE’s design has not been shown. We could put up a rectangle with a logo on it and call it a preview, and it would tell you nothing true about the finish, the edge, the feet or the way it behaves under a 49 gram mouse. The category is confirmed. The product is not shown. Both of those statements will stay accurate until the day they change.
